August went by in the blink of an eye. It was a great month, with a bit of travel, some quality time with family, as well as a few more memorable moments behind the camera. Since the month was bookended by two very different balloon festivals here’s a little blog post about hot air balloons and my chance to play with color, light, and perspective in a joyful and whimsical way.

This weekend I proudly opened my first solo photography exhibition in the Catskills and it couldn’t have gone any better. ”Journeys: Chasing Light in the Catskills” is an exhibition of stories and photographs documenting my adventures in the Catskills since January 2023. Thank you to everyone who came out to the opening, bought my work and made contacts so that we can plan where to take it next.

If you haven’t been ably to make it there yet, no worries as the show will be on the walls until Saturday 11th October.

I’m excited to announce that I have my first solo photography exhibition in The Catskills this Fall. The work is on show at the Pine Hill Community Center from 23rd August until 11th October. Pine Hill is conveniently close to Route 28, the Belleayre Ski Center and right in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. If you are planning a trip into The Catskills please call in. Better still why not mark you calendar and come along to the opening reception, I’d love to say hi to friends old and new.

Phew! March proved to be a busy month! Between school events and Gallery renovations I just didn’t have the time to sit down update the blog, but its all done now, the photos are delivered and LAND Gallery has re-opened for 2025, so now its back to normal, whatever passes for normal these days!!
